Launching of! A performance hub for artists - 4 July at DARB 17/18 (29/06/2011) logo

It was roughly one year and a half ago that the Meetphool Team received a grant from the European Union to create an online platform that would bring together performing arts communities from the Mediterranean. This grant was awarded to Environment Development Group (EDG) through our 2009 Call for Proposals for Cultural activities.

Environment and Development Group (EDG), led by Nada Sabet, the Creative Director, managed to bring the Meetphool initiative to life. The EDG team has been committed to faithfully employ the best technical and administrative team, aiming at bridging both sides of the Mediterranean by creating this hub for performing arts professionals from Europe and North Africa.

Meetphool is a professional platform where members of the performing arts community can showcase their work, share professional expertise, and build their networks. Meetphool endeavours to facilitate collaboration among performing artists by providing this easy-to-use tool that would build bridges across boundaries and borders.

Who in the performing arts?

The performing arts sector is understood in a way as to include all those who work to create live artistic products, encompassing all genres, their branches and offshoots. The inclusive platform welcomes all those who work onstage, offstage, and backstage as well.
